Our Organic, Gluten Free, Allergy Friendly Sausages, Hot Dogs, Smokies and Deli Meats

When we first moved to the farm our family especially our daughter Erin was struggling with serious health issues and allergies. For years we had been looking for clean, healthy, organic and allergy friendly meats and sausages that she would be able to eat and at that time could not find much, if any, around. We realized within a few years of being on the farm that the solution was to start making sausages ourselves with the meat we raised on the farm.

We quickly discovered that there were many other families like ours who were searching for a source of clean meats and sausages. We started selling at local farmers markets and, as demand increased, began adding new flavours of sausages. Every couple of years we continue to develop new products based on what our customers were looking for and what our own family would like to eat.

We also began making products such as hot dogs, smokies and deli meats. Like many children with allergies, our daughter wanted to enjoy a hot dog at family gatherings and summer barbecues. She wanted to eat sandwich meats in her school lunches and have bacon with her pancakes.  We wanted to make one that fit with the same principles as everything else we produce, meats made with simple organic ingredients and without the preservatives, fillers and allergens that are so common in many processed meats.

All of our sausages, hot dogs, smokies and deli meats are made in small batches in our own on-farm sausage making and meat cutting facility. We do not use pre-packaged spice mixes. Instead, we purchase all of our certified organic spices individually and measure and mix every recipe by hand. Our organic meat is cut by our staff, ground, mixed with the spices, naturally smoked where required, then packaged.  

Our products contain just our own Certified Organic and Certified Humane meat, certified organic spices and, when a little sweetness is needed, Canadian organic maple syrup or organic honey. They contain no fillers, gluten, MSG, dairy, eggs or nuts. We do not use preservatives, nitrates, sulphates, cultured celery or other plant extracts.

All of the meat that goes into our sausages, hot dogs, smokies and deli meats is organic certified humane and raised by us.

We have been making and selling sausages since approximately 1998. Since then our product line has grown to include over 40 flavours of sausages, hot dogs, smokies, deli meats, hams and bacon. Although our selection has grown, the reasons we make them have not changed. We remain committed to raising and producing organic, local and allergy friendly foods so that our family and our customers can enjoy clean, healthy products made with ingredients they can recognize.
